Part 2 Sheath Making Tutorial - Cutting, Dying, and Gluing (GIVEAWAY)
Hey everyone! This is Part 2 of a 3 Part tutorial series I made specifically to show how I make a leather sheath by hand without using a sewing machine or a big expensive grinder. Just some hand tools and a Dremel so anyone can make one with minimal investment. Part 1 goes through the minimum tools necessary for the project, materials needed, how to design and make a template. Part 2 walks through getting the sheath started from cutting it out to getting it prepped for stitching. Part 3 is stitching it up and getting the sheath finished and with polished edges and a beeswax finish to waterproof. This series will walk you clearly from start to finish from raw materials to a beautiful and useful finished product. You can buy all 3 for a discounted price.
Buying this video gets you 1 entry into the giveaway.
The first 120 purchases will automatically be entered into a giveaway for one of the largest knives I have ever made and one of the smaller knives that I make. The big one is what I call the Machete Falchion. It is a blade I forged from a lawnmower blade and has a color case hardened guard that is curve fit to the blade and handle which is sculpted from curly Redwood. I made a video for YouTube about making it which you can watch here https://youtu.be/TezmMMgDlKE. The smaller blade is an Outpost EDC with a hand sanded blade and given a patina that is done with mustard that gives it a graffitied look. The handle is anodized titanium with stainless screws and it comes with a leather pocket sheath similar to the one in the tutorials. When all the spots are filled I will make a video of drawing the winner!
Please enjoy the tutorials. I hope they are helpful and informative. Thank you and Good luck!!
